What to expect from the 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift?
The latest spy shots of the upcoming Brezza facelift have created a stir among auto enthusiasts in India. A test mule was spotted closely in a parking lot with complete camouflage, showing the mild updates and a new powertrain.
On the outside, the test car seems to be equipped with a redesigned front bumper and slightly different body cladding. Additionally, the alloy wheels are also likely to have undergone a mild update.
However, the biggest reveal is a new 6-speed manual transmission, something that the current Brezza owners have been demanding for a long time. This new transmission also hints towards the rumours that the new Brezza will get a new 1.2-litre petrol engine.
Although unsure, we suspect that this new engine could be a turbo unit, which is being developed to avail the GST benefits on the petrol cars with engine capacity below 1,200cc.
On the inside, the test car had the same equipment and design features as the current model, but the infotainment size seems to have grown as it was covered.
We assume that Maruti will launch the new Brezza likely by the end of this year or early next year. With the new 1.2-litre engine, it could be priced aggressively. Moreover, the CNG Brezza will get an underbody tank like the Victoris, which will further improve its boot space, and eventually its sales.
