Triumph 400cc bikes prices to remain unchanged
Bajaj-backed British moniker, Triumph, has announced that it will absorb the latest price hike of its 400cc bikes due to the new GST hike. This statement comes after its main rival, Royal Enfield, has reduced the prices of its 350cc category substantially.
Triumph is already struggling with moderate sales of its 400cc bikes, and as per the new hike of 10% in the ex-showroom price, it has decided not to pass this impact on its new customers.
As a brand, this is a big decision as it will majorly impact the profit revenue of the brand. However, there are online reports that claim that Triumph will introduce a new 350cc range of bikes, which is expected to be derived from the current 400cc range.
The new 350cc bikes are expected to debut by March 2026. Triumph is believed to have reduced the bore of the 400cc engine by up to 6 mm, which shall help the brand in making a sub-350cc engine, which will be liable for the GST benefits.
