Kawasaki ZX-10R new GST price details
The newly revised GST slabs in India have significantly affected the prices of automobiles. While the majority of the cars and two-wheelers have become cheaper, it is only the two-wheelers above 350cc that have become costlier.
With that said, Kawasaki has released the updated pricing for its most popular litre-class superbike, the ZX-10R. The new 12% increment in the GST rates has made the ZX-10R costlier by Rs 1.30 lakh. Earlier, it was positioned at Rs 19.49 lakh, which has now been hiked to Rs 20.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
Mind you, Kawasaki has introduced the MY26 ZX-10R earlier this month. With its debut, the first price hike recorded for it this month was Rs 99,000. However, the new GST slabs came into effect on September 22, which has now hiked the pricing by a massive Rs 1.30 lakh.
In terms of the changes and updates, the MY26 model is largely identical to the MY21 version. However, it is now Euro 5 emission norm compliant, and gets new colourways and livery. In terms of power, it is propelled by the 999cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled engine that offers 205 bhp and 112 Nm of power and torque.
Meanwhile, even after the price increase, the ZX-10R remains the most affordable bike in the segment as it is sold via CKD route.
