Mahindra has given its most popular SUV a mid-life facelift. The 2025 Thar facelift has launched at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh. Read below what is new on the Thar facelift.

2025 Mahindra Thar facelift: What is new?
The newly launched facelifted Thar gets mild styling tweaks and new features for additional comfort. Although the changes are not a major upgrade, they certainly make the Thar more lucrative than ever.
Speaking of the prices first, the new Thar starts at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). A detailed variant-wise price list is shared below:
Diesel RWD (D117 CRDe) prices:
- AXT MT – Rs 9.99 lakh
- LXT MT – Rs 12.19 lakh
Diesel 4X4 (mHawk) prices:
- LXT MT – Rs 15.49 lakh
- LXT AT – Rs 16.99 lakh
Petrol Thar prices:
- LXT RWD AT – Rs 13.99 lakh
- LXT 4X4 MT – Rs 14.69 lakh
- LXT 4X4 AT – Rs 16.25 lakh
In terms of the exterior changes, the new 3-Door Thar is more or less the same as the outgoing model. However, look closely and you will notice the new body-coloured front grille, a new reverse camera, and a wiper/washer on the rear windscreen. It also gets two new colours: Tango Red and Battleship Grey.
Meanwhile, the cabin now looks more premium with the big 10.25-inch infotainment screen, same as Thar Roxx. Moreover, the power window switches have now been moved to the door pads, while the grab handles are now re-positioned on the A-pillars.
Other changes include the sliding armrests for the front passengers and a dead pedal for the driver. The fuel lid is now operated via a button in the cabin, while the rear passengers now get AC vents and charging ports.
Mahindra has not altered the mechanical setup of the Thar, which is understandable as the Thar 3-Door is already an established and capable SUV with no fuss.
