Renault Twingo EV: Everything you need to know
The Twingo entry-level hatchback has returned in Europe with a new electric platform. The brand has constructed it from scratch within two years.
The Twingo EV takes its design inspiration from the first-gen model and the previous-gen car that was discontinued in 2024. It has a youthful design with its unique circular LED lights, a horizontal grille, curvy windows, and a popping rear window glass.
Renault is offering the Twingo EV in bright colour options that match its design appeal. On the inside, it comes loaded with a vertical dashboard and gets modern features, including a floating infotainment screen that has wireless connectivity, steering-mounted controls, a digital console, and more.
Thankfully, the cabin is not very “futuristic” as it retains the physical controls for the HVAC, seat adjustment, and more. Meanwhile, it also retains its spacious cabin with a big 360-litre boot, which holds ample luggage for weekend trips.
Powering the new Twingo EV is a 27.5 kWh battery that offers 80 bhp and 175 Nm of power and torque. It is claimed to deliver 263 km of range, which is sufficient for a 1,200 kg heavy electric car.
Renault will start delivering the first batch of the new Twingo EV next year in Europe. It is unlikely to launch in India.
