VinFast gears up for big 2026 lineup in India

Key highlights

  • VinFast plans multiple new electric vehicles for the Indian market in 2026, including a micro EV and a seven-seat MPV
  • Upcoming models aim to broaden appeal from urban commuters to family buyers
  • Limo Green MPV confirmed for early 2026, with VF3 micro EV expected soon after

VinFast is pushing ahead with its India expansion, and 2026 looks set to be a major growth year for the Vietnamese EV maker. After launching the VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs in 2025, the company has outlined plans to add fresh models tailored to Indian buyers in early and mid-2026.

Which models will we see

The headline new model for 2026 is the VinFast Limo Green, a seven-seat electric MPV slated for launch around February 2026. The Limo Green will be VinFast’s first three-row EV in India and is designed to appeal to families who need space without missing out on electric technology. It will sit alongside the VF 6 and VF 7 in the lineup, expanding VinFast’s reach beyond SUVs.

VinFast has already signalled that the Limo Green will be positioned in the premium family segment. With a 60.13 kWh battery pack and an expected range of around 450 km, the MPV promises to combine practicality with respectable efficiency. The electric drivetrain is likely to produce around 201 bhp and 280 Nm of torque, making it capable in both city and highway use.

Another key addition for 2026 is the VF3 micro EV, expected to arrive in the first half of the year. This compact electric car will compete directly with models like the MG Comet and is tailored to urban commuting. With a smaller footprint and an estimated 200 km range, the VF3 is aimed at first-time EV buyers, city commuters, and buyers looking for a low-cost entry into electric mobility.

Launch significance

These launches come after VinFast’s initial India push with the VF 6 and VF 7, which have begun deliveries and become the backbone of the brand’s early presence here. The company is also building up its retail and service network rapidly, with dozens of dealerships now open across major cities and more planned before 2026.

The broader strategy reflects VinFast’s intent to cater to a variety of customer needs, rather than just focusing on one niche. By adding both a spacious MPV and a city-friendly micro EV, VinFast is positioning itself to appeal to buyers looking for affordability, family convenience, and electric mobility under one roof.
