What is special about the new 2026 Audi RS5?

2026 Audi RS5 Avant

The all-new RS5 is back, and it is available in the Sportback and Avant versions in Germany now. The new RS5 is based on the A5, but it features a complete RS upgrade, including the sporty, more aerodynamic body kit, RS-spec 20/21-inch alloy wheels, RS grille, sporty exhaust, and technical upgrades for improved performance.

Powering the new RS5 is a 2.9-litre V6 twin-turbo engine that alone makes 503bhp. However, Audi has equipped the new RS5 with a 25.9kWh battery pack and a 128bhp electric motor that delivers the power to all wheels, which cumulatively makes 630bhp.

While the new RS5 is 550kg heavier than its predecessor, it can sprint 0-100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. Moreover, the battery pack offers a pure electric range of up to 80km, which makes it more economical to use in the city.
