What to expect from the new 2026 Maruti Brezza?
Maruti is making headlines with its upcoming Brezza update. The 2026 Brezza is expected to bring a mid-life update to Maruti’s most successful SUV.
The latest spy shots showcase a top-spec version painted in white, being tested on the highway. Although its exteriors are unchanged from the current model, we believe that this has been intentionally done to cover its identity.
What we believe is that Maruti is testing an all-new engine, which could be a turbo unit, and it is suspected to be below 1,200cc to avail the GST benefits. The previous spy shots have already revealed a new 6-speed manual gearbox, and this particular test car is suspected to have the turbo engine and the new gearbox.
The interiors are also fairly visible, which showcases that the upgrades will not be substantial. Maruti is likely to offer a new infotainment system with more features, and it will possibly equip the top-spec variants with more features like the ventilated seats.
Meanwhile, the exteriors are also likely to get mild upgrades with the new bumpers and new alloy wheels. Overall, the car will remain dimensionally unaltered.
Another major update will be the new underbody CNG cylinder tech, which will free up boot space, thus resolving a major drawback of the current Brezza CNG models.
We believe that Maruti will launch the 2026 Brezza around the festive season later this year. It is expected to be priced a little bit higher than the current model.
