Ola Electric has just thrown a proper curveball at the two-wheeler market. Under its new #EndICEAge campaign, the brand is offering the S1 X scooter and Roadster X motorcycle at a starting price of Rs 49,999. The offer is valid only till March 31.
Pricing that grabs attention instantly
The headline number comes from the base variants. The Gen 3 S1 X with the 2kWh battery and the Roadster X with the 2.5kWh setup now start at Rs 49,999. That puts them dangerously close to entry-level petrol scooters.
Ola clearly wants fence-sitters to stop overthinking and just make the switch. Higher variants still sit at their usual price points, but the entry barrier has dropped hard. For many buyers, this changes the conversation overnight.
More than just a price cut
Ola has not stopped at pricing. The campaign bundles in benefits worth up to Rs 50,000 across the lineup. The company is also pushing what it calls an assured ownership experience.
There is a Service Trust Guarantee. If your scooter takes longer than promised at the service centre, you get Ola cab vouchers. Then comes the Buyback Guarantee. Ola promises up to 60 percent residual value. On top of that, an 8-year extended warranty now comes as standard. That is a big deal in this segment.
Performance and tech
The brand continues to highlight strong acceleration, quick 0 to 40 kmph times, and high top speeds for the category. Range figures also remain competitive, with scooters offering substantial real-world usability.
Software remains a big part of the story. MoveOS continues to evolve with OTA updates. That means the scooter you buy today can actually improve over time.
Big push towards EV adoption
This campaign is clearly timed well. Fuel prices continue to pinch. Running costs matter more than ever. Ola is trying to convert that frustration into action.
By bringing EV pricing this close to petrol alternatives, the brand is removing one of the biggest hurdles. The added ownership benefits try to address the rest.
