Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe Performance Edition has been launched in India. Priced at Rs 1.52 crore (ex-showroom), this special version builds on the already potent AMG GLE Coupe, offering a more aggressive design package and added exclusivity.
What to expect
At its core, the Performance Edition remains mechanically unchanged. That means you still get the same firepower that defines the AMG experience. The SUV is powered by a 3.0-litre, inline-six turbo-petrol engine paired with EQ Boost technology. It produces 435 hp and 560 Nm of torque, with an additional electric boost available when needed. Expect a 0-100 km/h sprint in under 5 seconds, which is impressive for something this big.
Power is sent to all four wheels via the AMG-tuned 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system, ensuring strong traction and sharp handling despite its size.
What’s new in the Performance Edition?
The changes here are more visual and experiential than mechanical. You get AMG-specific styling elements that enhance the SUV’s already aggressive stance. Expect darkened exterior details, sportier alloy wheels, and subtle cosmetic upgrades that make it stand out from the standard model.
