- Stryder Cycle introduces Airborne and Arcus e-bikes
- Focus on urban commuting and lifestyle mobility
- Offers up to 60 km range with practical features
Tata Group-backed Stryder Cycle has expanded its electric mobility lineup with the launch of two new e-bikes – Airborne and Arcus. With increasing urban congestion and a growing shift towards cleaner transport, the brand is positioning these models as practical, everyday mobility solutions for Indian riders.
Stryder has clearly split the purpose between the two models. The Airborne is built for those who want a bit more adventure. The Arcus, on the other hand, focuses on everyday commuting.
Airborne: Built for more than just city roads
The Airborne leans towards versatility. It gets a 10.4Ah battery that delivers a claimed range of up to 35 km, paired with a motor designed for smooth torque delivery. Charging takes around three hours, which is fairly practical for daily use.
What really stands out are the 4-inch wide tyres. These are not just for show. They add grip and stability, especially if you plan to take this beyond smooth tarmac.
You also get a smart LCD display and multiple riding modes, which help tailor the experience depending on where you are riding.
Arcus: Everyday usability takes priority
The Arcus is clearly the more commuter-focused option. It gets a larger 36V 11.6Ah removable battery, with a claimed range of up to 60 km. That is a meaningful bump, especially for daily city runs. Stryder has also added practical touches here.
There is a multi-colour LCD display, integrated lighting setup, and even a mobile charging port. Small things, but they make a difference when you are using it regularly. The overall design is cleaner and more urban-friendly, which fits its intended role.
Backed by Tata
Being part of the Tata ecosystem gives Stryder a certain level of trust right out of the gate. But more importantly, the brand seems to understand the Indian market well. These are not over-engineered, over-priced machines. They are simple, practical, and designed for everyday needs.
