What to expect from the Kia Syros EV?

While the ICE Syros could not do wonders in sales, Kia is placing big bets on its BEV avatar. The upcoming Syros EV has now received confirmation of the launch timeline in India. In the recent investor meet, Kia India’s top official has confirmed that the Syros EV will launch in July 2026.

The Syros EV will share its underpinnings with the Hyundai Creta EV. It is expected to be offered in a single 42 kWh battery pack that will be a front-wheel drive unit, developing 133 bhp and 255 Nm. The estimated range of the Syros EV could be around 400-420 km.

Design-wise, we believe that it will get a makeover similar to what we saw on the Carens Clavis EV. The front is expected to receive a new design with a redesigned bumper, a closed grille, and new air dams. Meanwhile, the side profile will feature a set of new aerodynamic machine-cut alloy wheels, whilst the rear could use a new bumper.

The interior theme is expected to be the same as the ICE Syros. Even the equipment is most likely to remain unchanged. The key features will include the Trinity triple screen display, a panoramic sunroof, reclining rear seats, ambient lighting, Level 2 ADAS, and more.

The expected launch price of the Syros EV is Rs 15-20 lakh.
