Mini Cooper S GP Edition: Everything you need to know
The new Cooper S GP Edition offers a special cosmetic update that includes a sporty body kit, a special exterior paint job, and aero package parts. Although it is based on the JCW Pack variant, it has more changes and upgrades, which position it above the JCW Pack variant itself.
On the outside, it gets the new bumpers with integrated diffuser at the rear and winglets at the front and side of the front bumper, GP-inspired stipes on the bonnet, GP stripes on the sides with “GP” lettering, a special front grille with GP badge, exclusive GP 17-inch alloy wheels and red brake callipers, red colour roof and mirrors, a roof-integrated spoiler, a “Legend Grey” exterior paint, and “1 of 30” badge on the C-pillars.
On the inside, it packs the JCW-spec steering wheel, sports seats, Alcantara leather upholstery, red stitching all around the cabin, race pedals, GP Edition badge on the seats and door sills, GP Edition puddle lamps, and features like wireless charging, 9-inch oval LED infotainment screen, and more.
All these changes are limited to cosmetic updates; the car is mechanically the same as the JCW Pack variant. It is powered by the 2.0-litre turbo petrol four-cylinder engine that offers 201 bhp and 300 Nm, sending to the front wheels via a 7-speed DCT gearbox with paddle shifters.
The deliveries of the Cooper S GP Edition are likely to commence shortly.
