Renault has launched the updated MY26 Kwid hatchback for Rs 4.53 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated model brings meaningful changes to Renault’s entry-level car in India.
What has been updated on the 2026 Renault Kwid?
Last year, Renault introduced the 10th-year anniversary model of the Kwid. That version brought new cosmetic tweaks, including the redesigned exterior and new features. However, unlike the previous year, the new MY26 update brings few, but meaningful changes.
On the outside, the new Kwid now features the new Renault logos. The new Renault logo was introduced with the Triber, which was followed by the new-generation Duster SUV, which was launched recently. However, the Kwid was the only car left with the old logo, so it has been changed. Another update is the slightly changed taillight housing.
Moving on to the inside, you will find exactly the same interior design and equipment as before. So, what’s new? Well, the latest addition is the six airbags that now come as a standard fitment, offering more safety than ever before.
Renault has also reshuffled the variants of the Kwid. It now comes in only two variants, whose ex-showroom prices are as follows:
- Evolution (MT): Rs 4.53 lakh
- Climber (MT): Rs 5.15 lakh
- Evolution (AMT): Rs 4.90 lakh
- Climber (AMT): Rs 5.61 lakh
Renault is also offering an online buying option. Customers who purchase the car online will get a special price for the Climber variants. The Climber MT is available for Rs 4.99 lakh online, and AMT for Rs 5.46 lakh, both ex-showroom.
Under the bonnet is the tried and tested 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that is also shared with the Triber MPV. This engine makes 67 bhp and 91 Nm. Additionally, customers also get a CNG retrofitment option for Rs 70,449. The CNG kit will be a dealership-level fitment.
The updated Kwid is now available nationwide.
