Keeway Hypevolt-R details: Ola S1 Pro rival
Keeway has been present in the Indian two-wheeler market for quite some time. However, it has been nearly non-existent due to poor sales. The brand is operated by Aadishwar Auto Ride group in India, and its latest attempt to revive in the domestic market is the new Hypevolt-R e-scooter.
Introduced at an exclusive limited-time price of Rs 1.99 lakh, this futuristic-looking funky e-scooter packs a serious setup. The Hypevolt-R is powered by a removable 5 kWh battery pack, which is paired with a mid-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that provides 12 kW of continuous power.
With this setup, it can not only sprint 0-40 km/h in 2.3 seconds, but it also offers 115 km/h of top speed and an IDC-claimed range of 180 km. These figures place it against the Ola S1 Pro, an electric scooter that has been a testament for other electric scooter manufacturers.
The funky e-scooter packs sharp panels with a design inspired by an arrowhead. This is evident on the side panels, while the handlebar and the LED headlight have a bare-naked design for a futuristic look. Overall, it gives maxi-scooter-like vibes, especially with its 14-inch alloy wheels.
Keeway has equipped the Hypevolt-R with LED lights, a dual-channel ABS, traction control, hill-hold control, cruise control, hill-descent control, and even smart features like a reverse camera and blind spot detection. A 5-inch coloured TFT console is also offered that packs features like geofencing, proximity lock/unlock, guide-me-home headlight, navigation, over-the-air updates, music controls, etc.
Keeway is offering the Hypevolt-R in two colours: Crystal White and Platinum Grey.
