Toyota Innova Hycross facelift: What do we know so far?
The latest spy shots of the upcoming Innova Hycross facelift show the front design of the MPV, which appears to have design cues carried from the new Hilux. While the spotted test car was completely camouflaged, we could see its new design bits, which include the new, sleek LED headlights identical to the new Hilux, a new front grille, a new bumper with a more boxy design, new LED foglights that are now repositioned below the headlights, and a new lower grille.
On the side, the test car appears to have the same design as the current model. The alloy wheels could undergo a design change on the production-spec version, but these are unaltered on the test car, as we suspect. However, the rear profile gets the new LED taillights, and possibly a new rear bumper. The overall silhouette of the new Innova Hycross facelift will likely remain unchanged.
The previous spy shots gave us a glimpse of its dashboard design, which boasted a bigger infotainment screen with a floating design. The new touchscreen will likely get more wireless features, a new UI, and probably more functions to control the comfort and entertainment features.
Since the upcoming facelift will become the first update for the MPV, mechanically it will remain unchanged for the most part. Toyota is expected to continue selling the 2.0-litre petrol with CVT gearbox and the 2.0-litre strong hybrid petrol with an e-CVT gearbox engine options on the facelifted version.
Another upgrade could be in its safety features. The current model already gets the Toyota Safety Sense ADAS, which we believe could be upgraded with more passive features like pedestrian collision avoidance, traffic sign recognition, high-beam assist, and more.
The exact launch timeline of the Innova Hycross facelift is currently unknown. However, online reports state that it will be introduced towards the end of the next year.
