Upcoming BMW F 450 RR teased online ahead of launch

Key highlights

  • BMW F 450 RR teased
  • Launch is scheduled for October 15
  • To be based on the 420cc parallel-twin engine

BMW Motorrad introduced its latest naked middleweight sports bike in India, called the F 450 R. Now, the brand has shared a new teaser image of a fully faired sports bike that is likely to be based on the same platform, and it is scheduled to launch on October 15. This new motorcycle is likely to be badged F 450 RR, and it will focus on performance and handling.

BMW F 450 RR: What do we know so far?

The upcoming F 450 RR teaser image shows a silhouette of a sharp-looking sports bike. While it is yet to be unveiled officially, the silhouette image shows a steeply raked fascia with a tall windscreen and sharp twin LED lights that look inspired by the S1000RR.

The new sports bike seems to have a committed riding position with its front-forward styling. The sculpted fuel tank and the raised tail section further give away that the design is inspired by the bigger, litre-class S1000RR. It does get some part sharing with the F 450 R sibling, which includes the five-spoke alloy wheels and its 420cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that makes 48 bhp and 43 Nm.

With that said, the F 450 RR (expected name) is most likely to be positioned above the F 450 R naked motorcycle. Speaking of the features, we suspect that it will get ride modes, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, Google Maps mirroring support, cornering ABS, wheelie control, and more.

BMW will officially launch the F 450 RR in India on October 15, and as per our anticipation, it will be priced around Rs 4.5 lakh. More details will follow in the coming days. Until then, stay tuned to shifting-gears.
