BSA Motorcycles India has launched a new dual-tone paint option for the Goldstar 650, called the Brooklands Black. This new paint option was previously launched in Europe a few months ago, and now it is available in India at no additional cost.

The Brooklands Black colour is available at Rs 3,64,950 (ex-showroom), and it features a mix of gloss black and chrome parts. The front and rear fenders are chrome-dipped, while the fuel tank features chrome plating on the upper half, and the lower half gets a black paint. Meanwhile, the side box panels are painted black, and so are the front suspension fork covers and the headlight cowl.

To match this beautiful mix of paint scheme, BSA engineers have kept the aluminium engine casing, and brushed aluminium exhaust casing as it is. The bike continues to ride on the spoked rims finished in silver colour.

Powering the Goldstar 650 is a 650cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine with a long-stroke design. This engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. The combined output of this powertrain is 45.6 bhp and 55 Nm, which gives the rider a laid-back riding experience.

In terms of the hardware, the Goldstar 650 uses a 12-litre teardrop-shaped fuel tank, 41 mm telescopic forks at the front, twin rear shock absorbers with five-step adjustability, a 19-inch front and an 17-inch rear spoked rim setup with Pirelli tyres. It weighs 213 kg and has a 782 mm rider seat height, which provides ease of riding and control around the corners and in the city.

The Goldstar 650 roadster competes with the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. However, the Interceptor 650 is a sporty retro-roadster motorcycle with a parallel-twin engine, while the Goldstar 650 is a complete retro bike with a laid-back riding feel.
