Kia has displayed the India-bound Seltos Hybrid at the ongoing Paris Motor Show 2026. The new Seltos Hybrid packs the brand’s latest strong hybrid technology, and it is likely to be launched in India by mid-2027.
Kia Seltos Hybrid: Engine specs and mileage
First things first, the global-spec Seltos Hybrid is powered by an all-new 1.6-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which is paired with a battery and a dual-motor setup that offers an all-wheel-drive configuration.
The petrol engine alone produces 102 bhp and 141 Nm, and it is paired with a 6-speed DCT automatic gearbox. Meanwhile, the electric setup makes 129 bhp and 388 Nm. The combined power output stands at a healthy 178 bhp, which is 18 bhp more than the newly launched Renault Duster Hybrid in India.
The interesting bit is the fuel economy. Unlike the other hybrid models in the segment that offer high efficiency numbers, the WLTP-claimed mileage of the Seltos Hybrid is a modest 14.71 km/l. However, the thing to keep in mind is that this mileage is for the all-wheel-drive global model. The Indian-spec model will be a front-wheel-drive car, and it will be relatively lighter than the global model. Therefore, it is likely to offer more mileage than the global model.
How will the Kia Seltos Hybrid look?
The displayed hybrid model at the Paris Motor Show 2026 looks almost similar to the Indian-spec model. It is showcased in its X-Line variant, featuring a beautiful beige-yellow colour finished with the piano black body cladding, silver highlights on the bumpers, and gloss black alloy wheels.
The only change is the powered tailgate, which is missing on the Indian-spec model. Additionally, there is a ‘Hybride’ badge on the tailgate, while the car misses out on the spare wheel due to the battery fitment.
The interior on the Seltos Hybrid is also similar to the Indian spec. Since it is an X-Line variant, it features black leather upholstery with red stitching, X-Line badging, and range-topping features like the connected display, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, Level 2 ADAS, and more.
Expected price of Kia Seltos Hybrid in India
Kia is expected to launch the Seltos Hybrid in India next year. The company has not revealed the timeline for it, but we can expect it to go on sale by mid-2027. Assuming that the other hybrid cars in the segment, like the Duster and Hyryder, are priced around Rs 18-22 lakh, the Seltos Hybrid is also expected to be positioned around a similar band.
