Ampere has been struggling in the electric scooter space for a long time. The brand has been navigating sluggish sales and reliability-related concerns consistently. However, in an attempt to revive itself, a new Ampere Magnus G Max scooter has been introduced at Rs 94,999 (ex-showroom).
The new Magnus G Max offers a conventional design matched with the practical elements like a large footboard area, a spacious single seat, LED lights, 12-inch alloys, a 33-litre underseat storage, and a high ground clearance of 165 mm, which offers ease of use on any type of tarmac.
Backing this setup is a dual-frame chassis, which is suspended on the telescopic front forks and dual shock absorbers at the rear. The new e-scooter features a hub-mounted electric motor as well. Additionally, it comes loaded with three riding modes, including Eco, Sports, and Reverse. The new electric scooter also gets a 3.5-inch LCD console with a USB charging port and Bluetooth connectivity.
Powering this scooter is a 3 kWh LFP battery that offers 2.4 kW of peak power and 1.5 kW of continuous power through its electric motor. This setup is rated to offer a claimed range of 145 km on a full charge, while the real-world range is claimed to be 100 km in Eco mode. It can be charged 10-80% in 45 minutes by using a home AC charger.
