Aprilia rear wing patent – What do we know so far?

Aprilia fixed rear wing patent image

The latest patent leak shows an Aprilia RSV4 sketch that is seen with a fixed rear wing setup – something that we have only seen on the 2026 RSGP MotoGP factory bikes till now. Theoretically, this wing setup helps in increasing cornering grip and handling at high speeds.

The fixed rear wings are placed just behind the rider’s footpegs, a place that is usually used for the pillion footpeg. Now it is unsure whether these patent belong to a new RSV4 or these have been reserved for future use on other models as well.

Since not many details are available regarding this mysterious patent, we are assuming that Aprilia is safeguarding its innovations by homologating the parts that will help in improving its future production models globally.
