Ducati Desmo450 MX: Everything you should know
Ducati’s latest offering in India is the Desmo450 MX, a motocross-styled dirt bike that packs performance and a lightweight chassis for extreme off-road fun. The Desmo450 MX is now available in India through four select dealerships in New Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, and Chennai.
The Desmo450 MX is suspended on a lightweight aluminium chassis that features fewer welds and joints for extreme rigidity and agility. Powering the Desmo450 MX is a 449.6cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that develops 63.5 bhp and 53.5 Nm of power and torque. It is paired to a 5-speed transmission.
The talking point is its 104.8 kg weight (unladen), which takes the power-to-weight ratio sky-high. The bike does not feature any lights or a big console; it also has less wiring, all to keep the fun high and weigh less.
The Desmo450 MX is based on the Showa USD front forks and a Showa monoshock suspension, both fully adjustable. Ducati is also offering optional accessories for the Desmo450 MX, which include the machined hubs, tyre clamps, a full system Akrapovic exhaust system, and Brembo racing brake callipers.
