Honda 0 Alpha electric SUV

Honda has confirmed that the 0 Alpha SUV will be launched next year in India. It was revealed for the first time at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 in a concept avatar and bears a unique design based on the new ‘Thin, Light, and Wise’ philosophy of the brand.

The 0 Alpha SUV is inspired by the 0 SUV, but it boasts a bigger profile and a larger footprint. The concept version has a boxy outlook with a unique rear profile that features a vertical tailgate with U-shaped connected LED lights.

The chiselled body panels and the 19-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels gave it a proper EV look that has come from the future. Other key highlights on the concept model were the minimalist LED lights at the front with the new Honda logo illuminated.

The cabin also followed the same story of design, as it featured a protruding dashboard towards the passengers with a full-width display, an F1-style steering wheel, and a big glass area that provided an airy feel. However, the details regarding the features were not revealed during the unveiling of the prototype.

What we do know is that it will be powered by two battery options – 65 kWh and 75 kWh. There will be no AWD option, and it will remain solely as an FWD EV. This also clarifies that the production-spec model will be positioned in a segment that has the Mahindra BE 6, Maruti e Vitara, and Hyundai Creta Electric as its present rivals.

With that said, more details regarding its battery specs, range, and features will only get revealed as we approach its launch timeline in 2027.
