Hyundai Motor India has hit an important milestone with the all new Hyundai Venue. The compact SUV has now crossed 1 lakh bookings in the country.
To celebrate the achievement, Hyundai has introduced a new HX8 Diesel Automatic variant, priced at INR 13,69,900. The new variant expands the Venue lineup and gives diesel buyers a more convenient automatic option.
Diesel power
The new HX8 Diesel AT uses Hyundai’s proven 1.5 litre U2 CRDi diesel engine. It pairs this motor with a 6 speed automatic transmission.
This combination focuses on ease of driving without losing the strong torque that diesel engines offer. That should appeal to buyers who deal with daily traffic but still want good highway performance.
For many Indian buyers, a diesel automatic hits the sweet spot. It offers strong efficiency and relaxed driving in one package.
Feature list gets a serious upgrade
The HX8 Diesel AT is not a bare bones variant. Hyundai has loaded it with several premium features.
The SUV gets front ventilated seats, which are a blessing during Indian summers. Dual tone leatherette seats with Venue branding add a touch of style.
The driver also gets a four way electrically adjustable seat, making it easier to find the right driving position.
Hyundai has also added connected car tech through Bluelink along with over the air controller updates. That means the software can stay fresh without frequent service visits.
Other highlights include electric parking brake with auto hold, rear disc brakes, and ambient lighting around the dashboard and centre console.
Driving modes such as Eco, Normal and Sport allow the driver to adjust the character of the car. The traction control modes for sand, mud and snow add an extra layer of confidence on tricky surfaces.
And yes, Hyundai has even included paddle shifters. That should make enthusiastic drivers smile.
Venue continues to be a strong player
The Venue has been one of the key models in Hyundai’s India lineup. It competes in the highly competitive compact SUV segment alongside the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
Crossing 1 lakh bookings shows that the formula still works. Buyers like the Venue’s mix of sharp styling, modern tech and manageable size.
Hyundai has also built a strong reputation for feature rich cabins. The Venue continues that tradition.
