Key highlights
- Mahindra & Mahindra announces price hike of up to 2.5 percent
- New prices effective from April 6, 2026
- Average increase stands at around 1.6 percent across the range
Mahindra has joined the growing list of carmakers raising prices this month. The company has announced a hike of up to 2.5 percent across its SUV and commercial vehicle lineup. The revised prices will kick in from April 6, 2026.
So yes, if you were planning to buy that SUV, this might be your sign to move quickly.
The usual reason, but still important
Mahindra says the hike comes due to rising costs. That includes raw materials, logistics, and overall production expenses. Nothing new here. Every manufacturer is dealing with the same issue. Some absorb it for a while. Then eventually, the customer gets the bill. This is that moment.
The average increase is around 1.6 percent. So while it is not massive, it is enough to be noticed.
Which models will feel the impact
This hike applies across Mahindra’s ICE SUV and commercial vehicle portfolio. That means popular models like the Mahindra Scorpio N, Mahindra XUV700, and Mahindra Bolero will see revised pricing.
Commercial vehicles will also get more expensive, which could have a ripple effect on businesses and fleet operators.
Interestingly, the recently introduced Mahindra XUV3XO gets a small breather. Prices for the first 40,000 bookings remain protected. That is a smart move to keep early buyers happy.
What this means for buyers
If you already have a booking, you might be safe depending on the model and timeline. If not, expect to pay a bit more from next week.
In isolation, a 1 to 2 percent hike does not sound dramatic. But stack it with insurance, registration, and accessories, and the final bill creeps up faster than you expect.
For commercial buyers, even a small increase matters. Margins are tight, and every rupee counts.
