Rox Adamas: Everything we know about it
Chinese car brand Rox has registered the Adamas SUV in India recently. It is one of the two models that the brand sells in China, and it is known for its luxurious features and EREV powertrain.
The homologated image is similar to the Chinese-spec car, indicating that it will be positioned against the premium rivals like the Toyota Fortuner. The exterior design of the Adamas is quite conventional, as it features a boxy shape that is accentuated by the T-shaped LED lights, a flat roofline, and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel.
On the inside, it features a plush interior layout with 6- and 7-seater options. The cabin is draped in Nappa leather upholstery, and it features a vertical dashboard design with a massive 15.7-inch 3K resolution touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, a 14-speaker 7.1 channel sound system, and 8-point Shiatsu massaging seats.
One of the popular features of the Adamas is its boot kitchen, which offers practicality for camping and outdoor activities. Additionally, features like a refrigerator, V2L (vehicle-to-load) charging, and 20+ storage spaces make it a perfect outdoor vehicle.
Rox has also equipped the Adamas with the ADAS safety system, which includes hands-free driving assistance, high-beam assist, adaptive cruise control, auto-emergency braking, and more.
Powering the Adamas is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder range-extender engine that is paired with a 56.01 CATL battery, developing 469 bhp and 750 Nm. Moreover, it offers a pure electric range of up to 235 km, while the cumulative range is more than 1,200 km on a full tank of fuel.
The Adamas is likely to be launched in India in the future. However, it is still unclear whether Rox is in talks with an Indian manufacturer to launch its products in India, or if it will debut all by itself.
