The all-new Orbiter V1 variant is now available across India at a starting price of just Rs 49,999 with the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option. Customers can also purchase it without BaaS at Rs 84,500 (ex-showroom).

The Orbiter V1 is powered by a smaller 1.8 kWh battery pack, which offers 86 km IDC-claimed range. This places it at a substantially lower price compared to the Orbiter V2, which is priced at Rs 99,900 (ex-showroom), and offers a 3.1 kWh battery pack with 158 km IDC range. It also offers a rapid charging time of 2 hours and 20 minutes for 0-80%.

Moreover, TVS is offering the Orbiter V1 with BaaS plans starting at just Rs 862 per month. Customers can choose between 24, 36, and 60 months tenure to opt for the BaaS scheme. Additionally, TVS does not limit the usage per month, unlike other manufacturers offering monthly battery rental schemes with restricted usage.

Apart from the smaller battery pack, the V1 variant is uncanny in terms of design, features, and hardware. It rides on a 14-inch (front) and a 12-inch (rear) alloy wheels, gets an LCD console with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation support, OTA updates, and features like geo fencing, theft alert, and more.
