Ultraviolette X-47 BaaS scheme explained
The new X-47 electric ADV bike is now available at just Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The major price reduction comes after the BaaS or Battery-as-a-Service scheme.
The Bengaluru-based EV maker is offering the X-47 with a monthly subscription package as low as Rs 2,499. The new scheme allows customers to purchase the motorcycle at 40% lower initial cost and pay for the battery use via the monthly rental plans.
Moreover, the monthly rental subscription plans also include a 5-year warranty as standard. Once the subscription is completed, the ownership of the battery is transferred to the customer without any additional cost.
To offer the X-47 via the battery rental scheme, Ultraviolette has partnered with Ecofy to provide the motorcycle nationwide. With the new battery rental programme, Ultraviolette is expected to expand its footprint in the tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
