Kawasaki India is planning to launch a bigger ‘W’ moniker in India soon. The Japanese brand has shared a teaser of the upcoming W800 on its social media handles. Read below what to expect from this new retro bike.

What to expect from the Kawasaki W800?
Kawasaki India’s latest social media teaser is more interesting than we thought. The brand has released a promo that celebrates the 60th anniversary of the W nameplate. However, the teaser also shows the W800, which confirms that the retro bike is all set to be launched in India.
Mind you, Kawasaki already sells a W model in India, which is the W230. The brand seems to have noted that Indian customers are slowly aligning with the retro bikes like the BSA Goldstar 650 and the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, hence the W800 seems to be a good thought.
Speaking of the W800, it features a classic retro design with chrome highlights and design elements like a round headlamp, metal body parts, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and spoke rims. In terms of features, it gets a twin-pod semi-digital cluster with a small LCD for odometer, while the LED headlamp certifies its modern quotient to an extent.
Powering this beautiful retro bike is a 773cc parallel-twin air-cooled motor that makes 51.3 bhp and 62.9 Nm. It is paired with a 5-speed transmission and a slip-assist clutch for a smooth and connected ride experience.
As of now, Kawasaki has not revealed the launch date for the W800, but we suspect that it will be announced in the coming days. Since this bike will be a premium product, its pricing could reach beyond Rs 5 lakh.
