What to expect from the Tata Sierra EV?
The upcoming Sierra EV will be based on the modular electric platform, which Tata debuted with the Harrier EV. This platform will be tailored for the dimensional differences and better off-road performance on the Sierra.
The latest teaser of the electric Sierra shows a grille-less front design. While the overall silhouette of the EV version is similar to the ICE Sierra, it does get a new bumper, a set of new LED headlights, and different alloy wheels to differentiate it from the standard model.
While Tata has not revealed any hardware or specification details, we firmly believe that it will be offered with the same battery pack options as the Harrier EV. Moreover, a QWD or an all-wheel drive variant will also be offered.
Tata has scheduled the reveal of the new-gen Sierra on November 15. We suspect that the electric version will be displayed alongside the ICE version, but it will be launched later after the Sierra ICE deliveries.
The expected price range of the Sierra Electric is Rs 25-30 lakh.
