VinFast EV free charging programme – What is it?

While VinFast is consistently trying to establish a strong user base in India, the Vietnamese EV maker has announced yet another customer incentive scheme, which offers free charging support till March 31, 2029. Earlier, the V-Green Charging Program was scheduled till July 2028.

Under the free charging scheme, all VinFast owners, including the existing and the upcoming, are allowed to charge their EVs at the company’s dedicated rapid charging spots, called V-Green. The free charging support extension is a bold move from the brand, as no other EV maker in India offers a similar scheme for customers.

The company had formed a joint venture with RoadGrid back in 2025, to establish the rapid V-Green charging stations countrywide. This collaboration has also set up the V-Green charging stations at HPCL fuel stations in major cities, thus extending the charging accessibility.

As of now, the company offers VF7 and VF6 EVs in India. However, the brand is set to launch the Limo Green electric MPV in the coming months, which will take on the 7-seater rivals like the Kia Carens EV.
