VinFast opens bookings for VF MPV 7 in India

Key highlights

  • VinFast opens bookings for VF MPV 7 in India
  • Booking amount set at Rs 21,000, launch scheduled for April 15, 2026
  • Promises 500+ km range and fast charging capability

VinFast has officially opened bookings for the VF MPV 7 in India, and it is clearly targeting families who want to go electric without giving up space or practicality.

This is the company’s third model for our market, and it feels like a more grounded move. Less flashy, more usable.

Bookings open

Bookings for the VF MPV 7 are now live across VinFast’s website and dealership network. The token amount stands at Rs 21,000.

The official price reveal is set for April 15, which means we do not have to wait too long to see where this lands. And let’s be honest, pricing will decide everything here.

A proper family-first EV

The VF MPV 7 sticks to a simple brief. Be a proper seven-seater. Not a “technically seven-seater”. A real one. With a length of around 4.7 metres and a long wheelbase, it promises decent space across all three rows. That is important, because Indian buyers do not forgive cramped third rows.

The design pushes the wheels to the corners. That helps maximise cabin room. It also gives the MPV a slightly more planted stance than your typical people mover. It even rides on 19-inch wheels, which should add some presence.

Range and charging look promising

VinFast claims a 60.13 kWh battery pack for the VF MPV 7. The headline number is a claimed range of over 500 km. Now, real-world figures will obviously be lower. But even then, this should comfortably handle daily runs and weekend trips.

Fast charging is another highlight. The battery can go from 10 to 70 percent in about 30 minutes. That makes long-distance usage a lot less stressful.

Building a bigger ecosystem

VinFast is clearly playing the long game in India. The brand already has the VinFast VF 6 and VinFast VF 7 in its lineup. With the MPV now joining in, the portfolio starts to look more complete.

They are also working on dealerships, charging support, and ownership benefits like warranties and trade-in programs. It is not just about selling cars. It is about making the switch to EVs easier.

The real challenge ahead

Here is the honest bit. The MPV segment in India is tough. Buyers here are practical. They care about space, comfort, running cost, and reliability. Brand trust also plays a big role.

VinFast is still new. So while the product looks promising, the real test will be after-sales experience and pricing.
