2025 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade launched at INR 28.99 lakh

Key highlights

  • Honda has launched the 2025 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP in India at INR 28.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
  • It runs a 999cc inline-four engine good for 217.5 hp and 113 Nm.
  • Gets MotoGP-inspired aerodynamics, Ohlins electronic suspension, and a full electronics suite.

The Fireblade is back, and it’s not here to play nice. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has rolled out the 2025 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, a litre-class weapon developed with HRC’s race DNA dripping from every bolt. Priced at INR 28.99 lakh, it’s a limited-run machine available through Honda’s BigWing Topline network. Think of it less as a road bike and more as a racetrack scalpel that just happens to wear a number plate.

Engine and performance

Under the fairing sits Honda’s 999cc inline-four that screams all the way to 14,500 rpm. It puts out 217.5 hp and 113 Nm, backed by a bi-directional quickshifter and Honda’s clever Two Motor Throttle By Wire, which controls cylinder pairs independently for crisp response and smoother engine braking. In short, it’s fast, violently fast.

Suspension and braking

Honda’s gone top-shelf here. Ohlins NPX electronic forks up front, an Ohlins TTX36 monoshock at the rear, and Brembo Stylema calipers clamping 330 mm discs. The setup is built to take abuse on the track without a hint of fade. Even the damping tech comes straight out of Ohlins’ racing playbook.

Electronics and rider aids

A six-axis IMU runs the show, powering 9 levels of traction control, 3 levels each of engine braking and ABS, wheelie control, launch control, and Honda’s electronic steering damper. All of it is configurable via a sharp 5-inch TFT display, which even adjusts preload based on rider weight.

Design and aero

The 2025 Fireblade wears fresh bodywork with HRC-designed winglets, an RC213V-S-inspired swingarm, and an Akrapovič titanium exhaust. Raised bars and lowered pegs make it a touch more rider-friendly, but make no mistake—it still looks like it’s one rev away from orbit.

Where it sits

At INR 28.99 lakh, the Fireblade SP costs more than the Kawasaki ZX-10R and BMW S 1000 RR, but undercuts the Ducati Panigale V4. Honda’s betting that its MotoGP tech and premium hardware justify the price and for serious track junkies, it just might.
