Toyota Kirloskar Motor has officially launched the 2025 Fortuner Leader Edition, adding more visual drama and premium features to India’s most iconic SUV. Building on the success of the 2024 edition, the new Leader Edition aims to satisfy buyers who want their Fortuner to look as powerful as it drives.
The SUV retains its proven mechanical setup but gets a sharper design language. Think redesigned grille, sporty bumper spoilers, dual-tone roof, signature hood emblem, and glossy black alloy wheels. It’s still the Fortuner you know—but now it walks into the room like it owns it.
What’s new on the outside
Toyota has dialed up the visual aggression. The Leader Edition gets:
- Redesigned grille with chrome garnish
- Front and rear bumper spoilers
- Dual-tone roof in black
- Glossy black alloy wheels
- Signature hood emblem
Available in Attitude Black, Super White, Pearl White, and Silver, the SUV now looks more premium and purposeful.
Inside the cabin
The interior gets a dual-tone black and maroon theme for the seats and door trims. There are illuminated scuff plates, auto-folding mirrors, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) for added safety. It’s still spacious and comfortable, but now with a touch of flair.
Toyota hasn’t messed with the fundamentals. The Fortuner continues to offer a commanding driving position, solid build quality, and the kind of cabin durability that can survive both city chaos and mountain trails.
Under the hood
The 2025 Fortuner Leader Edition is powered by the 2.8L 1GD-FTV turbo-diesel engine. It delivers 201 bhp and 500 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The SUV comes in rear-wheel-drive (4×2) configuration, which balances performance with everyday usability.
Toyota is also offering flexible finance options, including up to 8-year funding plans, Smart Balloon Finance, and pre-approved packages for extended warranty and accessories. Buyers get five years of complimentary roadside assistance and a standard 3-year/100,000 km warranty, extendable to 5 years/220,000 km.
