2026 Ducati Multistrada V4 RS unveiled

Key highlights

  • New Ducaiti Multistrada V4 RS with 178 bhp and a dry clutch from the Panigale V4.
  • Features include Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO), carbon fibre components, and five riding modes.
  • Titanium subframe and Akrapovič exhaust help reduce weight and boost performance.

Ducati has officially taken the wraps off the 2026 Multistrada V4 RS, and it’s not just another ADV with fancy stickers. This one packs the Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine from the Panigale, tuned to deliver 178 bhp at 12,250 rpm and 118 Nm at 9,500 rpm. That makes it the most powerful adventure bike Ducati has ever built and arguably the most aggressive one on the market.

The RS variant is designed for riders who want superbike-level thrills without giving up long-distance comfort. Think of it as a Panigale in hiking boots.

Engine and performance

At the heart of the V4 RS is Ducati’s 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale engine. It’s paired with:

  • STM-EVO dry clutch
  • Akrapovič exhaust system
  • Shorter final drive ratios for quicker acceleration
  • Euro 5+ compliance

The RS also features a ‘Full Power’ mode that delivers all 178 bhp across all gears.

Electronics and rider aids

Ducati has packed the RS with its latest tech suite:

  • Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO): Predictive algorithms adjust intervention levels in real time
  • Five riding modes: Race, Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet
  • Four suspension presets: Track, Dynamic, Touring, Low Grip
  • Radar-assisted Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Blind Spot Detection and Forward Collision Warning
  • 6.5-inch TFT display with RS-specific graphics

This is Ducati’s most intelligent ADV yet, and it’s not shy about showing off.

Design and weight savings

The RS gets a titanium rear subframe that saves 2.5 kg over the standard model. It’s reinforced to carry a top case, so touring isn’t compromised. Other weight-saving elements include:

  • Carbon fibre front fender, handguards, and heat shields
  • Forged carbon tail unit
  • Lithium-ion battery

The bike also features Marchesini forged aluminum wheels and Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tyres. Braking is handled by twin 330 mm discs with Brembo Stylema calipers.

Each unit is part of a numbered series, with a black anodized plate on the triple clamp denoting its exclusivity.

Expected launch and pricing

The 2026 Multistrada V4 RS will hit international showrooms by March 2026. The new ADV is expected later, with prices likely to start north of INR 44 lakh, depending on local taxes and variant options.
