2026 Ducati Panigale V4 R: Every detail explained
The newly unveiled Panigale V4 R is based on the standard version. However, catering for its ‘R’ suffix in the nameplate, it features hardcore performance upgrades that take inspiration from the Ducati MotoGP bike.
For starters, it is the first-ever production bike to feature the MotoGP-inspired Corner Sidepods. These sidepods offer additional cornering grip and stability, which enhance the track riding experience.
The overall design is inspired by the Panigale V4, but subtle changes make it look sharper and more aggressive than the standard model. Powering it is a 998cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine that offers 215 bhp of peak power and has a top speed of 330 km/h.
Moreover, it features the MotoGP-inspired dry clutch gearbox that has the neutral gear positioned below the first gear. This is designed in a way so that the rider can easily upshift while coming out of a corner on the track. Customers can also opt for an optional racing exhaust that bumps the power output to 232 bhp.
In addition to the above features, it also gets a special aero package that adds 6 kg of downforce at speeds upwards of 300 km/h. It features a hollow symmetrical swingarm and Ohlins adjustable suspension, offering an improved riding experience.
The software has been upgraded with the Ducati Vehicle Observer, which improves the braking and engine braking control. There is also a Race Brake Control that further adds to the stopping power. The 6.9-inch TFT screen has been added with a Grip Meter that shows the traction levels on the go.
Ducati will bring a handful of the Panigale V4 R units to India next year. Its pricing will be around Rs 70 lakh.
