Kia India has finally launched its latest seven-seater SUV, the Sorento. It is priced from Rs 27.99 lakh to Rs 40.39 lakh (ex-showroom), and it is available in six- and seven-seater configurations along with a diesel and a petrol-hybrid engine.
2026 Kia Sorento: Prices and variants
The Sorento SUV is available in nine variants: HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK(A), HTK(A) Black Line, HTX(A), HTX (AWD), HTX Black Line (AWD), HTX(A) (AWD), and HTX (A) Black Line (AWD).

2026 Kia Sorento: Engine options
Powering the new Sorento SUV are two engine options:
- 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel with an 8-speed DCT gearbox, 193 bhp and 442 Nm, FWD and AWD options
- 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid four-cylinder turbo engine with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, 180 bhp and 265 Nm, electric motor assists with 65 bhp and 264 Nm, available in FWD and AWD options
The Sorento also gets four drive modes: Normal, Eco, Smart, and Sport, and three terrain modes: Snow, Sand, and Mud.
2026 Kia Sorento: Exterior design
The exterior styling of the Indian-spec Sorento is similar to the global model. It features a bold and striking design with the trademark ‘Tiger Nose’ design, four-cube vertical LED projector headlights, sculpted bumpers, split vertical LED taillights with a wraparound design, 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and a crossover-like side stance.
Some key features include functional roof rails, a full-size panoramic sunroof, a roof-integrated spoiler, a silver skid plate, a rear wiper and washer, and dual exhaust tips.
2026 Kia Sorento: Interior design and features
On the inside, the Sorento features a dual-tone cabin theme with seven- and six-seater options. The dashboard features a curved screen display with dual 12.3-inch screens, a four-spoke steering wheel with dual-tone leather wrap, physical buttons for the climate control, a rotary knob gearshift lever, etc.
The user interface on the screens can be personalised with nine themes from Marvel, Pixar, and Disney. This is a first for any Kia car in India. Some of the key comfort and convenience features of the Sorento are as follows:

- Front and second row seats with electric adjustment and ventilation

- Electric boot
- 12-speaker Bose sound system
- Real-time generative AI assist
In terms of safety features, the Sorento packs 10 airbags and Level 2 ADAS features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, high-beam assist, etc. Other features include a frameless interior rear-view mirror with an auto-dimming function and digital view, and a head-up display.
Bookings of the Sorento have commenced nationwide, and deliveries are expected to commence in the coming days.
