Along with the launch of the new Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq, the brand has also introduced a Formula E Freedom Edition of the electric SUV. Priced at Rs 24.45 lakh (ex-showroom), this variant features an exclusive exterior colour, Freedom badging, a new interior design with halo, and a 79 kWh battery pack.
Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Formula E Freedom Edition details
Unlike the previous version of the BE 6 Formula E, the 2026 BE 6 Sporteq Formula E Freedom Edition features an identical exterior design to the standard Sporteq variants. This comes as a surprise, as the outgoing version was known for its sleek, minimal LED lights and an overall sharper look.
The new Freedom Edition BE 6 features the same C-shaped LED daytime running lights as the standard version. Moreover, the bumper design is also similar, which makes it a tad difficult to distinguish it from the standard model.
Interestingly, it comes draped in an exclusive Rosso Impulso red exterior paint with gloss black contrasting panels and 20-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels. There are Formula E badges on the panels, along with the tri-colour decals.
Meanwhile, the cabin of the Formula E Freedom Edition BE 6 features the halo-like design, which has been removed from the BE 6 Sporteq. Further, it features a dual 12.3-inch connected display, unlike the new triple-screen display on the BE 6 Sporteq.
The interior theme features black and orange highlights, with leather upholstery. The special edition of the BE 6 Sporteq continues to get features like a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, HUD, ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a 540-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS safety features.
This special version is based on the range-topping 79 kWh battery pack that comes with a RWD configuration. It develops 286 bhp and 380 Nm of peak power and torque, offering an IDC-claimed range of 683 km.
Mahindra has also added a new Revive SOS mode, which can drive the EV for 13 km even after the battery is drained completely. However, this feature can be used only six times in a battery’s lifetime.
