Renault is all set to introduce the latest generation Duster in India on January 26. The French carmaker has released a new teaser of the SUV, which shows its design and size.

A brand camouflaged car can be seen in the teaser running over the trails in the high altitude mountains, hinting at the capabilities and continuing its off-road legacy with the AWD option, which is most likely to be offered on the top variants.

Meanwhile, the front profile has sleek LED DRLs and a rugged bumper design, which have been tweaked for the Indian market as per the online reports, and do not mimic the international model.

A side profile glimpse reveals that it will be longer and butch, which shall position it strongly against the segment rivals like the Hyundai Creta. The new-gen Duster will keep its rugged design philosophy alive, unlike the rivals that focus on sophistication.

The new-gen Duster will come loaded with all features that are now segment standard, including the digital console, ventilated seats, wireless connectivity, sunroof, etc. We are unsure whether its top variants will get the ADAS or not, but it will surely offer an extensive list of safety features too.

Powering the new-gen Duster could be the 1.3-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine in India. It will come paired with a manual and an automatic gearbox. The top variants will also get an AWD drivetrain, while the base variants could possibly offer the smaller 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine.

With that said, Renault claims that the new-gen Duster has been extensively tested around the globe, covering over 10 lakh kilometres, which makes it durable enough to outlast its rivals.

The new SUV is set to be launched later this month, and we suspect its pricing could be around Rs 11-19 lakh.
