What to expect from the 2026 Renault Duster?
Renault’s new-gen Duster is going to be a major turnaround for the French carmaker which has been struggling with sluggish sales and a limited product portfolio in India. The new Duster will be launched on January 26 in India, which will share its underpinnings with the upcoming Nissan Tekton.
It is based on the new CMF-B platform, which will allow multiple powertrain options on the Duster. While it is already on sale in the global markets with multiple engines, we suspect that the Indian-spec model will get a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol mild-hybrid engine. An AWD system is also expected to be offered on select trims.
The design of the new-gen Duster will maintain its rugged image as it will get the Y-shaped LED lights, sharp panels, and big body claddings. Meanwhile, its interior will feature an all-black layout with features like a digital console, wireless charging, powered seats, etc. The top variants will also get the Level 2 ADAS.
Renault is most likely to position the Duster in the same ballpark as the Hyundai Creta. We suspect its expected pricing to be Rs 11-18 lakh.
