2026 Renault Duster: Everything we know so far

The 2026 Duster SUV was unveiled last month, making a grand debut of the iconic nameplate once again in India. The massive debut event pulled a big crowd, and following it, a lot of pre-bookings have already been made by potential customers.

To elevate the sales process, Renault has started delivering the new-gen Duster to its dealerships for public display. While the test drive vehicles will only be provided post price announcement next month, the display cars will help more buyers to personally experience the new-gen Duster and choose the right option.

As far as the details are concerned, the new-gen Duster is based on the CMF-B platform, which has been tailored to support ICE, Hybrid, and EV architectures. Moreover, the Indian-spec Duster will be offered in three engine options, which will cater for a variety of customers and a wide range of budgets.

These engines include the Renault Kiger-sourced 1.0-litre turbo petrol, a new 1.3-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.8-litre hybrid petrol (slated for late 2026 launch). Except for the 1.8-litre hybrid, the remaining powertrains will get the choice of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

In terms of design, the Duster has maintained its rugged looks with the flared fenders, a wide stance, a rugged body kit with big claddings, and silver skid plates. Renault designers have taken a conventional approach for India, as the SUV does not get flashy design traits like wide connected lights and more.

On the inside, the Duster features a spacious cabin with a black theme and leather upholstery. The new-gen Duster will offer all bells and whistles that are standard in this segment, which include the likes of ADAS, wireless charging, ambient lights, auto AC, voice commands, airpurifier, sunroof, and more.

Renault will officially launch the Duster next month. The initial launch price announcement will only include the 1.0-litre and 1.3-litre variants. The 1.8-litre hybrid is set to be launched around the festive season this year.

We suspect the prices of the 2026 Duster around Rs 10.50-20 lakh.
