What to expect from the 2026 Tata Punch facelift?
The Punch has been a positive turnaround for Tata as it continues to be the top-selling car for the brand. In fact, it is among the top-selling SUVs in India, all thanks to its value-for-money packaging and a safe cabin.
Tata is now set to bring a fresh flair of change to the Punch SUV, as it will debut the facelifted model on January 16. The first official teaser has been released, which shows a glimpse of the new changes.
The teaser car is draped in a beautiful blue and black colour combo. The front fascia gets a new bumper with the new projector headlights, along with the new DRLs. The side profile is loaded with the new dual-tone alloy wheels, while the rear has a blacked-out connected LED taillight that mimics the Harrier and Safari.
While the teaser does not show the interiors, we suspect a new infotainment console, a new two-spoke steering wheel, a new digital cluster, and a revised cabin theme will be offered as standard. The facelifted model will also become more feature-loaded than ever, with offerings like ambient lights, wireless charging, etc.
Since it is going to be a mid-life update, the Punch facelift will not undergo any mechanical changes. With that said, it will continue to be offered with the 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine and a 1.2-litre CNG engine with the manual and AMT gearbox options.
It will launch on January 13 in India, and we suspect that it will be positioned higher than the current model by a few thousand.
