Tata has launched the new, heavily updated Tiago for 2026. The latest update brings with it a complete redesign of the exterior and interior. Read below everything you should know about the 2026 Tiago before buying.

2026 Tata Tiago: Everything to know before buying

Exterior design changes

The first noticeable change is the all-new front fascia of the new Tiago. Tata has redesigned the headlamps, grille, and bumper, which cumulatively give a sharp and modern outlook. Thankfully, there are no big connected lights on the front, which makes it look more classy.

The side profile is largely the same, save for the new 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, bigger mirrors with a 360-degree camera unit, and chrome door handles on the top-spec variants. The rear design has also undergone a massive update, as it now offers a set of sharp LED taillights with vertical fin-like triple LEDs, a new bumper, and a new boot.

Dimensionally, the new Tiago is more or less the same as the old model. Tata has also revised the colour options on the new Tiago, as it is now available in six colours: Daytona Grey, Pristine White, Pure Grey, Sobo Surge, Varanasi Vibrance, and Pangong Pulse.

Interior changes and new features

On the inside, the updated Tiago features a new dashboard with a modern outlook. It packs a floating-type 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, a new standalone digital instrument console, redesigned AC vents, and a new two-spoke steering wheel. Even the door panels are new, and so are the toggle-type power window switches, which give it a premium appeal.

Tata has also added a long list of smart features on the new Tiago, including the 360-degree camera, which makes it the first car in the segment to offer this feature. Additionally, it offers wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, rear charging ports, a cooled glovebox, a 4-speaker sound system, cruise control, and more.

Engine specifications

Tata engineers have not touched the Tiago mechanically. Hence, it continues to be offered with its 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol motor that makes 85 bhp and 113 Nm. It is paired with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox with paddle shifters.

Customers also get a factory-fitted CNG powertrain. This 1.2-litre engine comes with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed AMT gearbox with paddle shifters, and it offers 74 bhp in CNG mode. The best bit is its dual-cylinder CNG setup, which offers boot space and more range.
