Upcoming Kwid facelift: What to expect?
The new spy images of the Kwid facelift have surfaced from Chennai. The upcoming model, which is seen camouflaged in the spy shots, is likely to carry an all-new design.
The front fascia has a new LED DRL setup with split headlights, which are halogen on the test car. Additionally, the side profile has new ORVMs, new wheel covers, and a slightly reworked profile.
However, the major change is seen at the rear, where it gets the new-gen Duster-inspired Y-shaped LED tail lights, an upright boot design, and a new bumper. Interestingly, the test car does not have an exhaust pipe, which indicates that this could possibly be the electric Kwid.
Meanwhile, the photos of its interior design show a new dashboard, a big floating infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto, a new steering wheel, and a digital instrument console. Other expected changes include the new seats, new door panels and cubby holes, and improved NVH levels.
Powering the ICE Kwid facelift will be the same 1.0-litre petrol engine as the current model. It will be offered with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox options. If it is the EV Kwid, then its expected range will be around 250 km.
As of now, the exact launch details are unknown for it. We are assuming that Renault will debut it post the new-gen Duster launch in 2026.
