Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric: Everything we know so far
The electric Himalayan prototype was recently spotted at the Motoverse 2025 festival in Goa. The test bike was seen being ridden by a professional rider, and it looked almost production-ready.
Thanks to our subscriber for the interesting photos, who wishes to remain behind the curtain, the new spy shots reveal some interesting details. The first thing to notice is its prominent ADV stance, which is similar to the Himalayan 450.
Moreover, it is equipped with the premium parts and a beautiful colour combination of matte black, golden cross-spoke tubeless rims, and magnesium-covered battery packs with a new subframe. The new sub-frame and the aluminium swingarm further add to its premiumness.
Look closely, and you can spot the premium parts that include the completely adjustable Ohlins suspension, a vertical Rally tower with a rectangular console, brushed aluminium parts with high-grade materials, Brembo brakes, a new LED headlight, and a straight windscreen.
However, the most interesting detail is the twin battery pack, which has been neatly hidden underneath the soft tank and the magnesium covers. The specifications are unknown as of now, but online rumours hint at a 55-65 bhp-producing package behind these covers.
Additionally, the prototype has adjustable footpegs and a mid-mounted electric motor that uses a chain-type drivetrain. The block-pattern tyres and the absence of foot levers make it look quite interesting altogether.
As far as the launch timeline is concerned, we suspect that the production-spec Him E will make it to the launch only by late 2027. Once launched, it will become the new flagship model of the cult brand.
