Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate – What to expect?
The E-Class Estate test car was recently seen in Pune, near the Brigade Tech Garden, which is close to Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India’s headquarters. The same test mule has been running around the R&D centre for over a year now, as it is confirmed by the black alloy wheels and the exact same details as the first-time spotting of the test car.
So, will the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate make it to the Indian showrooms? Well, we suspect that it is highly unlikely that the Estate E-Class will be launched in India. The higher probability is that the brand might be using it for component testing, as the test car is an E300 variant that has the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that is also used on the other models.
While the Estate version is popular in certain markets, especially in the European continent due to the versitality and utility it offers over the sedan version, it makes less sense for the Indian market, which is tilted towards the SUVs.
