Maruti Suzuki 2026 price hike put on hold

Addressing the media on the first day of 2026, Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Maruti Suzuki India, announced that the company has decided to put a hold on the 2026 price hike till the end of January.

This decision has been taken after witnessing a strong surge in the sales of small cars, including the popular models like S-Presso and Alto K10, which got a strong push by the revised GST rates and the year-end discount offers from the brand.

With that said, the brand will revise the prices in the next 15-20 days. However, the company has yet to decide on the price revision for the individual models, citing the high demand for the affordable models. Therefore, hiking the prices immediately could break the strong sales momentum created by the GST rates.
