KTM has introduced the new entry-level RC 160 in India. The new sportsbike has a similar design to the bigger RC models, but offers power and efficiency with its smaller engine. Read its complete details below.

The newly launched RC 160 takes its design inspiration from the RC 200 and the RC 390 models. The bike has an aggressive riding stance with rear-set footpegs and clip-on handlebar. Meanwhile, the front gets an LED headlamp and a semi-tinted visor.

The RC 160 is available in a single colour option, which includes the combination of black and KTM Orange colours. The aggressive graphics make it even more elusive and hard to define, whether it is a bigger capacity RC model.

These striking looks are complemented by the 164.2cc liquid-cooled engine that makes 18.8 bhp and 15.5 Nm of peak power and torque. It is paired with a 6-speed transmission and gets a slipper clutch as well. The dual-channel ABS is also loaded with a Supermoto mode.

In terms of features, it gets an LCD console, LED lights, switchable ABS, and an optional navigation feature. However, the LCD seems to be a downgrade from the 160 Duke’s TFT console, which looks more interesting and upmarket.

The RC 160 is suspended on the WP Apex USD forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels, while the braking duties are done by a 320 mm front disc and a 300 mm rear disc brake.

The primary rival of the new RC 160 is the Yamaha R15, which has recently got a price cut as well.
