What to expect from the Norton Atlas GT?
The Atlas GT adventure motorcycle has to be one of the most anticipated motorcycle launches for 2026. TVS-owned Norton Motorcycles has showcased the pre-production prototype at the EICMA 2025, and now the brand has begun the road testing phase of the production model in India.
The latest spy shots of a test mule have surfaced from Chennai. The test motorcycle bears a similar design language to the prototype unveiled at the EICMA. The rider position is quite relaxed with slightly rear-set footpegs and a wide tubular handlebar position. The long windscreen and the streamlined fuel tank shrouds are also unchanged from the prototype’s design.
Other design traits include the upswept exhaust can for better off-roading and 19-inch(front)/17-inch(rear) alloy wheels. This being a touring version has alloy wheels, while there will also be a spoke wheel off-road spec with improved hardware. The Norton Atlas GT will be powered by an all-new 585cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that is expected to offer 65-70 bhp power.
In terms of features, Norton is expected to equip it with all bells and whistles, including a TFT console, Bluetooth connectivity, ride modes, ABS modes, a six-axis IMU with cruise control, and more.
The exact launch timeline of the Atlas GT is unknown, but a wider speculation is that it will be introduced by mid-2026. It could be positioned around Rs 5.5-6 lakh (ex-showroom).
