The next-gen Hyundai Creta SUV has started taking shape. After its first-ever test mule was spied last week, new spy shots of a suspected top-spec variant have emerged online once again. The new photos have revealed interesting details that you should read about below.

Design and dimensions
The new-gen Creta seen in the latest spy images is clearly bigger and wider than the current version. It is suspected to be based on Hyundai’s version of the Kia K3 platform, which recently debuted on the new-gen Kia Seltos. Hence, the dimensions of the new Creta could be identical to the new Seltos.
Moreover, the design is all-new, as it gets wider ORVMs, a flatter roofline with an extended rear. Additionally, the car spied here looks like a top-spec variant as it gets larger 19-inch machine-cut alloy wheels. Moreover, the glass area is bigger on the test car, which makes us believe that the focus is on the rear passenger comfort on the new-gen model.
Interior and features
Another interesting reveal in the new spy shots is the all-new, more spacious cabin. The rear seats, especially, have a lot more legroom for the passengers. Moreover, the overall cabin layout, including the door panels, seats, and the upholstery, is all new and looks inspired by the expensive Hyundai cars like the Ioniq 5.
The spy shots also showcase the electric Boss Mode on the front passenger seat, further solidifying the fact that the focus is towards the rear passenger comfort. The redesigned seats also have headrests with built-in speakers, a feature that was recently introduced on the new-gen Kia Seltos. With a large cabin, we suspect that the boot space will also be increased.
New features are likely to include the electric tailgate, mood lights, three-zone AC, massaging seats, and AI-assisted voice commands.
Engine specifications
Hyundai is likely to continue offering the current powertrain options as it is on the new-gen Creta. The only change will be in terms of drivability, engine tuning, suspension tuning, and overall improvement in the NVH levels inside the cabin.
However, Hyundai has revealed that it is working on a hybrid engine, which is most likely to be launched on the 2027 Creta. It will take on the rivals like the Toyota Hyryder Hybrid, Maruti Grand Vitara Hybrid, and the upcoming Renault Duster Hybrid.
India launch timeline and price
The expected launch timeline of the new-gen Creta is 2027. It will be positioned above the current model, which is priced at Rs 10.79-20.05 lakh, due to its larger size and advanced features.
